1 Champion a Safeguarding Culture: Strengthen the
capacity of Catholic organisations to be ethical, inclusive
and effective in amplifying the Church’s commitment to
safeguarding and the wellbeing of children and adults
at risk.
y Leadership: we are courageous in promoting the rights
and safety of children and adults at risk as they engage with
the ministries of the Catholic Church.
y Respect: We value and respect children, families,
professionals, Church authorities and each other, always
y Integrity: Our work is based on evidence and expertise.
It is always ethical and transparent
y Compassion: We honour the dignity of all and work with
understanding, respect, and care
y Equity: We promote and support empowerment and
inclusiveness in how we work and what we do.
2 Collaborate for Impact: work collaboratively with others
to champion the importance of embracing a safeguarding
culture and the implementation of the National Catholic
Safeguarding Standards and other Professional Standards.
3 Lead and Inspire Professional Learning: lead the
provision of quality assured resources, learning and
professional development opportunities for continued
